Stress Relief Tips
Stress is a feeling that everyone experiences more than once in their life. I for one feel it almost every day juggling school, work, and a social life. Stress is naturally going to occur more when you are in a time of uncertainty, which we all are right now. Hopefully this blog post will aim to share with you some of the ways I cope with stress and how it may help you as well.

It's important to take a step back from whatever you are doing when you start to feel stressed or overwhelmed. Realize that your mental health is way more important than what you may be stressed about and it is totally okay to take a step back from the situation to try and calm down. I recommend going outside and taking a walk if you are able. This always helps me clear my mind and take a breath of fresh air, literally, from all of the stress. Another way that I like to get rid of stress is by cleaning. Usually I'll play some music and get really focused on cleaning and that takes my mind off of everything else going on. That may not be the case for most people though and cleaning could be even more stressful so that is just a me thing.

Aside from what I like to do to relieve stress, here are some tips from an article on Healthline. Exercise is the first major way to relieve stress and it can also improve sleeping patterns and confidence. Another tip this article gave that stuck out to me is writing it down. I do this all of the time and it really helps you let your emotions out in a way that lets you be completely vulnerable and real. Writing about your stress/emotions can release some pressure and maybe even make you see the situation in a different light when you put your feelings into words. This website has some more great suggestions if you want to check it out! I will add the link to the bottom of this article.

Overall, realize that your mental health should be prioritized over an issue at work, school, or anything else that may be affecting you. It's easy to get caught up in the craziness of day-to-day situations but taking a step back and having time to yourself should be something you add to your to-do list everyday. Hopefully this article helps you destress a little bit and I'll leave you with this quote:
